Afia Pokua (Vim Lady); Biography
She is one of the most famous media personalities in Ghana at the moment. Afia is the head of Programs at the Despite Media Group operating Peace Fm, Okay Fm, Neat Fm and Hello Fm in the Greater Kumasi of Ghana.
She is also the former editor of Adom Fm, a subsidiary of Multimedia Group Limited.
Afia Pokua had her secondary education at the Labone senior high school.

She then proceeded to the Ghana Institute of Journalism and the Ghana Institute Of Management And Public Administration (GIMPA) to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Law. Aside these two institutions, she also studied at the UK Center of Marketing.
Afia Pokua is popularly known in the media industry as Vim Lady.
In 2018, she founded the SugarDem Ministry, a gender parity activist group established to parallel the PepperDem Ministry that advocates for women to uphold stricter relationships with men.

A year after, she resigned from the Multimedia Group and joined United Television, a satellite television station owned by Despite Media Group.
At the moment, Afia Pokua is the host of Egyaso Gyaso, a popular news analysis program aired on Okay Fm. She is also a co-host of UTV’s Adekye Nsroma television program.
At UTV, Afia Pokua is the main host of the Mmra No Se Sen television program. It is a popular television program that educates citizens on what the law stipulates on various issues that affects Ghanaians on a daily basis.

Last year, she was given the award as the best radio female presenter of the year.
