The Electricity Corporation of Ghana (ECG) announces to Ghanaians that there will be a planned seven-day power outage soon, and then a timeline will be released to guide customers.
This was announced by the CEO (CEO) of ECG, Mr. Agyemang Budu who said this has become necessary due to the ongoing work at Pokuase Bulk Supply Point.
Speaking during a tour of the Pokuase BSP that has been under construction since 2019, Kwame Agyemang Budu said ECG has been finalizing details of the schedule that will be announced.
“The actual outages will occur from May 10 to 17. These interruptions are due to the connection of GRIDCO line to the national network.”
“We are coming up with a planned schedule whereby the affected areas are grouped into four. We did it in a way that no customer would see an interruption of service for the entire eight days.”
“We’ll probably see a 12-hour break in the day, and then in three days we’ll have another break at night,” he said.
Interruption, basically to be in Accra will affect Pokuase, Nsawam, Gbawe, Mallam, Achimota, Awoshie, and other areas.
