Ghanaians in UK hold funeral for Prince Philip [Video]

Some Ghanaians in the United Kingdom held the funeral services for the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip.

The Duke of Edinburgh was buried on Saturday 17 April 2021, following a ceremony at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.




The mourners gathered on the streets of Tottenham, London, were dressed in red and black with most of the women wearing the traditional “kappa” and slit.

A group of drummers was seen churning out kitty melodies and performing from their craters with Atumban drums and drums just like in the Ashanti region.

For the most part of the funeral, messages were delivered in Twi language and translated into English for non-native speakers.
