Robert Lewandowski scored a hat-trick in the first half when 10-man Bayern Munich crushed Stuttgart to take a four-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga.
Bayern’s Alfonso Davis was sent off after just 12 minutes Lewandowski to open the scoring five minutes later.
Serge Gnabry doubled Bayern’s advantage, and Lewandowski completed a hat-trick with two more goals before the end of the first half.
The Polish striker has scored 42 goals for Bayern this season.
With referee Daniel Schlager Davis showing straight red for a foul on Stuttgart’s Wataru Endo, Bayern’s victory – who had reached five in Saturday’s game – seemed to be in jeopardy at first.
However, three goals in the next 11 minutes made the match without a doubt, and the home side collected all three points after the start of the second half.
