The Secretary General of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, has warned that any minister in the government of Nana Akufo Addo who sponsors a presidential ambition will be removed by the president.

The warning was launched in response to ongoing unrest within the party over who will succeed Nana Akufu when his term ends. Speaking of basic radiation, John Boadu said;

President Akufo Addo, in his capacity as President of the Republic of Ghana, has made it clear that anyone who sees himself distracted by his government as a result of his ambition or ambition, will not hesitate to remove them from his government, so that they can focus on their presidential ambition or whatever.

Sometimes it is very difficult for me to talk about these things but it seems like this is what we have to do. So we offer some suggestions to [NPP] The National Steering Committee quickly. By this month, we’ll be in a National Executive Committee to draft some guidance in order to allow the government’s work to continue.

What that means is that it will be difficult for everyone to understand that there is no point in testing the waters now either by their appointees or by them or by anyone else, and there will be very punitive penalties if one decides not to obey such a measure. Boadu noted.

Along the same lines, Kennedy Agyapong earlier reiterated the same sentiments saying that the NPP members’ Jalabalu created about who will succeed Nana Akufo Addo. According to him, this distracts the president from the performance and is a recipe for disaster to party in 2024. In any case, he says Baumea is the best person to lead the NPP in 2024.

I will plead with everyone to leave aside the talk of ambition. If you don’t allow President Akufu-Addo to serve for three years, I fear you have the best mind but Ghanaians will not vote for us. Our behavior clearly shows that defeat in 2024 is staring at us.
