National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adungo, is not happy to lead the minority in Parliament to Ken Ofori-Ata’s approval as Finance Minister.

According to him, Ofori-Atta sums up everything that is wrong with the country’s economy and he should not get unanimous approval.

“If someone is putting their life on the line so that Ken Ofori-Ata is not finance minister, you can wake me up any day. It’s a collective decision and I don’t agree with the decision but I respect the opinion of the majority.

This comes after examination and approval of Mr Ofori-Atta as Minister of Finance for the second term of the Akufo-Addo-led government.

Ofori-Atta faced unprecedented two days of scrutiny before the Parliament’s Nominations Committee, after which the committee unanimously recommended his approval of the House of Representatives.
