The Pentecostal Church led by the Head of Command, the Apostle Eric Nyamekye,built a state-of-the-art prison located in the Ashanti region to help relieve the overcrowding of prisoners in the majority of prisons in Ghana..

Ejura prison, located in the Ashanti region, is one of several prisons that the church is planning to build in different parts of Ghana.

Photos shared on social media show that it is well furnished and comes with a nice gym, work area and kitchen, among others.

The other prison facilities will be at Nsawam in the Eastern District, Kpando in the Volta District, Hiawa in the Western District, and Obuasi in the Ashanti District, respectively.

A previous report by Ghanaiantimes indicated that the plan aims to build modern prison facilities in the Eastern, Volta, Western and Ashanti regions.

The COP projects, which are all expected to be completed within five years, will contain cells for 50 inmates each, an administrative complex, a church ballroom, water closet toilets, bathrooms, a kitchen with corn mills areas, shops and soccer fields.
