Sugri Abdul-Rafiq cries over usage of nurses uniform on social media in Ghana
Former GNMTA leader, MR Sugri Abdul-Rafiq has expressed worries about the indecent use of the nursing uniform on social media. According to Rafiq, the nursing profession has it rules governing the right use of the uniform.
However, some nurses have against these rules and using the uniform as social media attire. It’s sometimes common to come across a video on social media with the nursing attire.
He took to his Facebook page and wrote this piece below
“In your first year in Basic nursing, you will be taught how and when to use the nursing uniform.
But it appears some people have turned the nursing uniform into Snapchat and TikTok attire.
This issue has come up strongly at the HTIS and unfortunately, one lady would be used as a scapegoat.
This lady uses the uniform as if the main reason she gained admission into the nursing school was that she needed a TikTok attire.
I have whispered to the student leadership to intervene as early as possible and I hope we all will desist from this act.
Is a disgrace to the profession, a disgrace to the school, and a disgrace to oneself.”
